Kevin Kunkle earned his undergraduate degree from Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania and graduated from the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His general surgery internship was completed at the Graduate Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and his orthopedic surgery residency was completed at the State University of New York's Health Science Center at Brooklyn. Dr Kunkle was awarded two fellowships - one to study orthopedics and sports medicine at Boston City Hospital in Massachusetts; the other to study sports medicine and arthroscopy at the Washington Orthopedic and Knee Clinic in McLean, Virginia.

His areas of expertise include arthroscopy, sports medicine, total joint replacement and trauma. Dr. Kunkle is an orthopedic team surgeon for the Trenton Titans and Trenton Thunder. His hospital affiliations are with Saint Francis Medical Center, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Capital Health System.

Dr. Kunkle is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. In addition, he is a member of the New Jersey Medical Society, the Mercer County Medical Society and the New Jersey Orthopedic Society.
