Joshua S. Hornstein earned a B.A. in Biological Sciences from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. He then went on to graduate from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway, New Jersey. Dr. Hornstein was a resident at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine - Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York. He was also awarded a sports medicine fellowship with Boston University Medical Center's Division of Sports Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is licensed to practice medicine in New York, Massachusetts and New Jersey.

In addition to being the team physician for several area high schools, Dr. Hornstein is also an orthopedic team physician for the Trenton Titans and Trenton Thunder. He specializes in sports medicine, arthroscopy and shoulder surgery. His hospital affiliations include Saint Francis Medical Center, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Capital Health System and Princeton Surgical Center.

Dr. Hornstein is a member of the American Orthopedic Society of Sports Medicine, the New Jersey Medical Society and the Mercer County Medical Society.
