Dr. Imtiaz Ahmad is a specialist in Vascular and Thoracic surgery. He earned a Faculty of Science degree from Government College in Lahore, Pakistan and a Medical Degree from King Edward Medical School in Lahore, Pakistan. Dr. Ahmad continued his medical training with a surgical internship at the Mayo Hospital in Lahore, Pakistan. His internship was followed by general surgery training at the Fellow Royal College of Surgeons in England. He also completed general surgery internships at Northwestern University and Michael Reese Hospital, both located in Chicago, Illinois, along with a thoracic and cardiothoracic surgery internship at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Ahmad was awarded a fellowship for peripheral vascular surgery at Northwestern University College in Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Ahmad is licensed to practice medicine in the states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. In addition, he is certified by the American Board of Surgery, the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and the American Board of Anti-Aging Medicine. Dr. Ahmad is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the International College of Surgeons, the American College of Chest Physicians and the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh, U.K.).

His professional memberships include the New Jersey State Medical Society, Mercer County Medical Society, Vascular Society of New Jersey, Eastern Vascular Society, New Jersey Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, The Pennsylvania Association for Thoracic Surgery, Delaware Valley Vascular Society, International Society of Endovascular Surgery, American Medical Association, American College of Phlebology, American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and New York Academy of Sciences.
